Value added project brief
I feel it is essential that clients genuinely feel they get a tangible and attributable return significantly above the cost of any development activity.
The so-called 'return on invesment' models build around mathematical formulas don't do it for me. After 28 years in this industry, I know there are a lot of variables, many beyond our direct control that in truth dictate the real return or otherwise we create.
That is why I use the value added project as a part of my longer programmes, whether accredited or not.
These projects can be done individually, or, as is popular, in pairs, and typically end with a presentation and submission to a group that includes the Chief Executive. After all, we want serious ideas around revenue generation or cost savings to be supported by those in a position to make things happen!
These projects need support and contact - the returns can be genuinely spectactular.
The most recent project values - signed off by line managers and presented to the Chief Executive were:
£35,000
£11,000
£43,980
£1,255,990
£5,446
£47,300
